Acrylic glazing
A clear plastic glazing material used in framing, available in standard, UV-filtering, anti-static, and abrasion-resistant forms.
Why it matters
It is lighter and more impact-resistant than glass, which can matter in shipping and large frames.
Common misunderstanding
Some acrylic products can build static or scratch; specify the product for the artwork.
