Relative humidity
The amount of moisture in air relative to what that air could hold at the same temperature, expressed as a percentage.
Why it matters
Changes can cause materials to swell, shrink, warp, corrode, or support mold.
Common misunderstanding
A single universal target is not appropriate for every artwork and home.
