Frame moulding (molding)

The shaped length of material, commonly wood or metal, that is cut and joined to form the visible perimeter of a frame.

A framing quote may specify its profile, width, depth, material, and finish.

Common misunderstanding

Moulding and molding are regional spellings of the same framing term; mold in a condition report means fungal growth and is unrelated.
